Kontera
Another great way on money making online. A way to increase the money you can make from your site and blog. It lets publishers to monetize their content in real time. Google AdSense is probably the king on money making programs on the internet. Their policies are pretty strict. They disallow AdSense publishers to use other similar contextual advertising services together with AdSense in same web pages. But not all advertising programs are disallowed and kontera is one of them.
How does it work?
Kontera is a little different with AdSense. ContentLinks are contextually relevant ads and information units dynamically linked to keywords on a publisher's web page. Their ContentLink In-Text Advertising system will underline the relevant keywords of the content in your web pages. The keyword is linked to the most relevant and highest paying text ad from among Kontera’s thousands of advertisers. After you signed up, you will be given a piece of code and you will place it in your blog.
I just signed up with Kontera and i don't know if i will be using it for a longer period. I would like to hear your feedbacks about this one. Does anyone of you come across to this site?

Hi, thanks for all your advice, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI've found Kontera interesting but never really managed to generate enough from it to make it worthwhile
ReplyDeleteHow do businesses make money using these links? Do people find their businesses by reading a post and seeing the link? I am so curious as to how the businesses are enhanced from these links.
ReplyDeleteI apologise for being negative but I find in test advertising really off-putting especially when it is in really contrasting color, font or underlined. None of the blogs I visit frequently use it and I do not think this is a coincidence. So I think there is a place for balancing reader experiences and profitability in the long term versus increasins earning streams.
ReplyDeleteI've tried kontera.. preferred adsense
ReplyDeletei've never used kontera. i've never had good success with adsense. i guess none of my readers like to click on the ads. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on this site. I currently use Adsense but will have to look into this one too!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of it, but it sounds really interesting. I'm going to check it out. If you find out more information, I'd love to hear more in a follow-up post!
ReplyDeleteGood point about Kontera, however, unless people actually will click on your double underlined green links you'll make so little you'll wonder why you're "clogging" your blog up with even more underlining. I do wish you the best of luck with Kontera though!
ReplyDeleteI don't like Kontera personally.... It is a pain with the pop ups.... I never made any money... but if you like it and it works for you ~ I say go for it!
ReplyDeleteHi Bhing,
ReplyDeleteI'm signed up with Kontera but am not currently using it. I do see it used a lot in blog posts though, so it seems quite popular.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Vered and I'm from Kontera.
It's always great meeting a Kontera publisher and I wanted to thank you for this post.

Hi. I used Kontera before and I have to admit that I hated the way it was presented on my blog. Unfortunately, it distracted too much attention from my main content and It is one thing that an awful lot of people find annoying. Don't get me wrong. It might work well for you. Hope so. Good luck
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that with Kontera you get a double-underlined inline ad, a pop-up that can be slow and sluggish for your visitors and if you have light traffic you make little to no money. There are other great contextual programs like LinkXL.com that allow you to monetize your entire website or blog and pay you a monthly fee for text links. They are safe and their TOS allow you to use LinkXL with AdSense and other programs as well.
ReplyDeleteWhy should a advertising program determine exclusivity and how you can make $ online?
I've never heard about Kontera but if it has popups I really want to stay away from it because there's nothing I despise more on Internet and I wouldn't choose to ever intentionally serve my readers something that bothers me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this great information. I had never heard of them before.
ReplyDeleteWe have never heard of Kontera! But we might look into it!! Thanks for all the information on making money from your blog!
ReplyDeleteYour FL furiends,
h!visit u here..
ReplyDeleteI have signed up this one. Thanks a lot for the informaiton.
ReplyDeleteThis one is a big help.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog!
ReplyDeleteYes Kontera is another great way to make money online. I know I have been using Kontera for a while now and I like it. Yes most of you will say nothing beats Adsense, and yes your right. Google Adsense is I believe the best way to make money online. It's very easy to do and anyone can do it. What I like about Kontera is that by using Adsense along with Kontera you can increase your earnings. Lets face it the more chances that people have that visit your site and click on either your Google ads or Kontera the more money you'll make. If people are looking at increasing their overall money that they are making online then join Kontera and test it out and see how it works for you. I tried it and it's another great way to monetize your website or blog.
Anyone else try it? How did Kontera work for you?
Sincerely,
