One thing to remember when you are into blogging or if you have a website, (whatever niche you belong), you wanted to boost your traffic and increase your rankings. Mine is quite new so it still needs a lot of hard work before it will rank good. So here are some tips which i found to be very helpful.

1. Blog Address
Choose a name which is easy to remember by your readers.

2. Write Quality Content
Write good and interesting content for your readers.

3. Write and Submit Articles
Write articles regularly that are related to your blog and submit it to 20 or 25 largest and popular article directories. One of it is ezinearticles.com. Articles which has good quality content drive a lot more traffic.

4. Comment on other Blogs
Look for large traffic Blogs in your niche, visit them and leave your comments on their blogs posts.

5. Participate at related Forums and Blogs
Join forums related to your niche and make sure to read the forum's rules. Don’t forget to add a signature with your blog URL, if it is allowed in the forum. Participate in the discussions, ask questions, answer other members questions and post your articles, ideas, just make sure not to look too spammy in your posts.

6. Submit Your Blog to Major Search Engine Directories
Make sure your blog is optimized.

7. Submit your Blog to Blog Directories
Blog directories are a place where you could submit your blogs and get traffic. Says for instance in Technorati.

8. Post Often
Post entries on your blog everyday or 3x a week. You can lose traffic if you seldom update you blog.

9. Link to other’s Article
Linking in and out helps a lot. It helps you get people link to you for providing a resourceful article.

10. Social Bookmarking
Bookmark you blog posts in the large social bookmarking sites like StumbleUpon, del.icio.us, and digg could provide you with loads of traffic.

  1. Great reminders! Another one is to get your comments on your blog as soon as possible. If you're moderating them, and they are sitting where no one else can read them until you do, it's not doing your blog much good. Every comment feed should also be hooked up to ping itself when comments are made. The more times you get the feeders and spiders coming over, the better.
